Hull City issued a statement on Sunday night that said, “The club can say and confirm that Ryan suffered a fractured skull in Chelsea vs Hull fixture this afternoon. He was taken to the hospital and undergone skull surgery. But we can say, he is in stable condition.”

He also needed treatment, not as Mason’s fractured skull and returned to the game shortly after. He scored Chelsea’s late and winning goal 2 – 0 last night.
